The brightly coloured leaves in the main shot are stunning Keith, and then I see the PiP, in more muted colours but every bit as stunning!! I love them both :-))

MAGNIFICENT!!! Such outrageous colors! It's not easy to create a pleasing composition when presented with a sight like this, but you pulled it off perfectly! Your use of dof allowed the leaves in the middle to stand out instead of the whole lot being a jumble. Nice. And your inset is honestly just as nice and though a bit more muted in variety of color, the range of hues is vast. The details in the leaves are lovely to stare at and your composition, putting that one yellow leaf in the corner, is perfect! :D Very nice job. I find myself fiddling around with possible compositions for quite a while with images like this and the results can be so dramatically different, even though it's the same picture. Fascinating, isn't it?!

Thought of you last night...I finally opened up my folder which includes the ivy images I'd told you about. Forgot what gorgeous leaves they are...I think you will be happy when you finally see them! :) Was also thinking about you because I was working on a final fall image from my Medford outing and had trouble with my picture. Beautiful maple leaf cluster with a very nice background but too busy...I worked and worked at that image trying to get a pleasing look which accentuated the fore leaves but didn't make the whole image overly contrived. Had to close it and go away several times but finally I figured out what to do yesterday. It's nice to have challenges like that, even if they can be frustrating. I'll point the picture out to you when it's posted!

This is glorious! The most intensive colours are sadly gone now, at least in our town.

Thanks very much. It's the same here.......it's been too mild for a start, and with the high winds we've been having a lot of the leaves have been blown of the trees :-)
