Neil and Martha

Neil and Martha
Back in the 1980s, Neil supervised Martha's MA thesis. A few years

later, he supervised my PhD thesis. For the past few years, I

supervised Martha's PhD thesis. Today she got her PhD degree and

both Neil and I were there. (Neil retired about ten years ago.)

At the ceremonies, I took several dozen pictures with my X100 but I

didn't pay attention to white balance (I never do!). So I ended up

stripping out the colour, filtering b&w pictures through a blue filter

(in PSP X6).

That is a good tip that I keep telling myself I should pay attention to.

I've never set this camera (the Fuji X100) to do Raw regularly. It has a simple button to choose Raw for individual pictures and I sometimes use it. I keep my other decent digital camera (Olympus E-M1) set to do both Raw and jpg for every picture.

:) I've just reset my X100, following your advice, to both jpeg and Raw. I said I never did this before but in fact when the camera was new I did it for some time; I gave it up because it used some much space on my SD cards.
