Cabaças

Calabash (from the Arabic kara bassasa, "glossy pumpkin") is the popular designation for the fruits of plants of the genera Lagenaria and Cucurbita.
The gourd was one of the first plants cultivated in the world.
Not just for use in food, but to be used as a water container.
The gourd may have been carried from Africa to Asia, Europe and the Americas in the course of human migration,or by seeds that floated across the oceans inside the gourd. It was proven to have been in the New World before Christopher Columbus arrived there in 1492.
