Who irons clothes these days? So what would I need a phone for that can iron clothes?! ;-)))
I don't even have an iron and I don't miss it. Before I hang up the laundry to dry, I pull the clothes into shape...and that works perfectly fine with my clothes, lol.

I do the same most of the time, but in Summer I have to iron linen items, and as it is what I wear mostly when it is warm… but I have a steam central iron, so it is very quickly done, and I donkt need it to be perfect, just regular..

I see. Well, I have some linen clothes as well, but I don't iron them either ;-)) It would be a torture to do so in hot weather.
And I agree...regular is good enough :-)

Bonito cielo, imposible resistirse a fotografiarlo. Todos, en algún momento recurrimos a los smartphone y es cierto que en algún momento nos pueden sacar una buena foto, pero coincido que una buena reflex es insustituible.

Ja, Isabell, mit Smartphones, kann man eben nicht alles das machen, was man mit einer Kamera machen kann. Aber wenn man was machen kann, ist es etwas bequemer.

I use smartphone camera for useful purposes but photography is photography and it is different with a camera…

A smartphone cam is not a replacement for a camera but an addition ;-)

What a difference between the two!

The colors on the cam screen had nothing to do with what came out taking the photo of the screen with the iphone, that is why I decided to show it here.

It's sometimes handy that a smartphone has an inbuilt camera, but a real camera certainly gives far more options. A lovely main image.

I never get tired of Penedos…

I have to hold a proper camera in my hand to get a photo Isabel. As George says, they can be handy sometimes, but my phone doesn't take brilliant photos anyway. Good pictures and notes.

Ein iPhone kann natürlich keine Kamera ersetzen, kein Smartphone kann das. Man kann das Bild in den Einstellungen aber anders aussehen lassen, ihm die grellen Farben nehmen. Leider hat man die Kamera nicht immer dabei, das Smartphone aber oft. So ist es eine gute Ergänzung für Motive die vergänglich sind.

That is why I have this Leica, very versatile, full frame, does macro, no multiple programs and only 734g, weight I can carry all the time in my bag…

I like the colours in the sky and the pin-sharp silhouette of the plant. Very well done Isabel.

I've taken some good photos with my old smart phone. You can always tone down the colours etc in post processing. Andy Rodker (who some of may know) almost exclusively uses a phone and he gets great results.

Anyway, the saying is that "the best camera is the one you have with you"..!!

I know the iPhone can make some good shots but maybe I am not trained enough. I tried to use the dof as I do with my cam, sometimes it works, like this one:

most of the time I cant manage, but maybe my fault. Nevertheless I find result not ideal, so I use it for other purposes.

Andy is a friend of mine, he does well with the smartphone, more talented than me…

I only use my phone if there is something I must take and no camera, although my phone is considered old now. There used to be touring exhibitions in the UK run by The Royal Photographic Society phone photos were increasing, they were on canvas about 5x3 foot. I like the mechanics of taking a photo which is why I always use manual. I have even bought 2 manual film cameras one doesn't have a built in meter so I got a vintage light meter

Like you I shoot manual, my pleasure to choose my settings, it is not the camera who decides and it has to be simple (no parafernalia of programs) as I don’t want to use any…
Still have film cameras but no place for a dark room… and I am becoming very very very lazy, LOL

In the UK there are plenty of online firms to send developing to, develop and scan seems to be a popular option of course if you want prints you can have them. Film is becoming popular it certainly makes you think about each shot remembering the cost

Smartphones están perfectos pa las personas cuya prioridad es el instant sharing en redes sociales. No es mi caso, ni tengo cuentas en cualquiera.
