1946 AP Wire photo. It's supposed to be two Russian tanks in Iran. A T-34 and an M-4 Sherman from the lend-lease program. The photo is a complete fabrication and I'm not sure if it was the result of a poor transmission of the original image ... or just filling a need from a description of the event, but in in any case there is a lot of creative painting in his one.

Shot on auto mode since I'm still learning how to set functions on the new camera. Jan. 7: This evening, look low toward the east-northeast horizon around 8 p.m. for the waning gibbous moon and about 6 degrees to its left you'll see Jupiter. Now nearing its Feb. 6 opposition, the solar system’s biggest planet rises in early evening during January — about 90 minutes after twilight's end on New Year's Day, and in bright twilight by late in the month. Jupiter is big and bright, blazing at magnitude minus 2.5 and not far from the Sickle of Leo. Herb Albert's Tijuana Brass - Whipped Cream & Other Delights. Modeling for The Ford Agency, Dolores Erickson was married and 28-years-old at the time. She had known Peter Whorf from working with him previously on other album covers and he was engaged to Erickson’s best friend. When she got the call from Whorf to do the album cover, she came to his garage which had been converted to a photography studio and the cover was shot in one day. Although Erickson appears not to be wearing anything, she had been wrapped in cotton and had on a bikini underneath all the “cream.” She was also three months pregnant at the time. Photographer and cover designer Whorf did a masterful job at hiding Erickson’s pregnancy. One problem: they could not use whipped cream because it kept sliding off. The solution? Shaving cream which adhered better to Erickson’s body. The first permanent settler in the area was Isaac Teal who lived near the lower falls. He erected a small mill around 1820. The wildlife was plentiful. In 1841, Theodore Jennings and his mother road horseback from Louisville to Greencastle to visit his brother. From the primitive highway, he heard the roar of the falls and liked the sound. He bought 1,000 acres, which included the falls and Teal's rotting old mill. Jennings returned to the area shortly afterward bringing his wife and four children along with other friends and relatives. They journeyed here by covered wagons through the snow and they lived in the wagons until homes were built. Jennings erected a saw mill, flour and woolen mill, a general store, and copper and blacksmith shops in what would later be called Jennings Township. Theodore Jennings was related to Jonathan Jennings, Indiana's first Governor. Jennings later moved and sold the falls and surrounding acreage to John Teal.
