That doesn't look to be in too bad of a shape. People throw away vehicles much to soon. My current car was destined for the junkyard, but I paid $300 for it, put in a used engine and it's been dependable for two years now. It's a shame that perfectly repairable vehicles get discarded and crushed.

Rust damage followed by an expensive mechanical repair tends to keep the pick-a-part yards full. Most folks don't swap motors these days. I think it's due to all the complicated electronics involved. Swapping motors used to be a weekend job ... now it's followed by a week of tracing all the electrical connections and sensors! My newest truck is 20 years old and my oldest truck ... 73 years old ... which I've owned 39 of those years.
