... ich war leider etwas zu spät mit der Kamera dort. Am Wochenende davor war für die Nordküste eine Warnstufe ausgerufen worden, sämtliche Küstenstreifen und Naturbecken waren gesperrt, weil riesige Wellen ans Ufer krachten. Als ich nochmal mit Kamera dort war, war`s immer noch beeindruckend, kommt auf Fotos allerdings nicht wirklich rüber - allein das Tosen, wenn die Wellen an die Ufermauern klatschen ...

Am Wochenende davor galt wegen extrem hohen Wellengangs dort tatsächlich der Ausnahmezustand. Das Betreten der Uferzone war verboten, die Zugänge zu den Schwimmbecken waren gesperrt.
Ich habe gelesen, dass gerade in dieser Woche an der NW-Küste Teneriffas jemand in solch einem Naturbecken zu Tode kam. Die rote Fahne war gehißt, Baden eindeutig verboten.
Der Atlantik bildet bei Wellengang starke Unterwasserströmungen, aus denen sich auch gute Schwimmer nicht befreien können.
