echt, gibt es noch mehr Gruppen, die ihr eigenes Süppchen kochen und sich gegenseitig huldigen?
Schöne Bearbeitung auf jeden Fall, pass nur auf, das dein Sessel nicht unter die Räder kommt.
Mag sein, das "man" sich daran stört, das mehr ein malerischer Aspekt im Vordergrund steht.

Ich finde das Bild fetzig. Es hat so richtig Geschwindigkeit. Gefällt mir. Und es sollte vor allen Dingen Dir selber gefallen, Dann ist es egal, was andere davon halten.

A suggestion for the future: Try different layer effects/modes when using the zoom effect. See an example on my today's upload:

Such things are of course subjective matter of taste, and artist knows best what the artist wants. My point however is that with a little different editing technique the wheel could have become as more obvious as the main subject.

But only trying to provide some ideas to try, maybe... ;-)

Yes, sometimes it's funny to play with different softwares and/or layers, textures ....
but, when I understand right: "ICM"-technique first of all means to make a SOOC-result by moving a) the camera or b) the objective.
And yes, here I lost my chance to push the wheel ... may be, because the pic originally was shot for the CHAIR. The topic of SPC was a nice surprise (I mean we never in IP had a challenge about wheels before, or ??

I also now decided to join SPC. So, looking forward for the next one to join =)

P.S. I can't access discussions at Saturday Self Challenge. So, can't tell if wheels have been a topic also there.

Oh, and sorry. I was mixing two, or actually three things:

1) Zoom effect created on editor, as on my example.
2) Zoom done with zoom lens.
3) ICM zoom by moving either camera or object, like on your photo.

Yes, they all are a little different. Then there is also difference on the direction of the movement, and if the camera or zoom is held still before or after the movement.

... it`s a pity. I left TSC 2 years ago, so actually I didn`t know their topics and results.
But I remember: just the main- rule (to take a NEW photo for the weekly challenge) was good for a lot of surprising, fresh results.

... and: I like the IDEA of SPC very much ... to send 3 "Anonymus"- pics.

Das war mein Favorit beim SPC!
Aber klar, die Mehrzahl der Teilnehmer dort denkt noch immer in Panoramio-Parametern... Ich habe mich beim CWP ja auch mit dem High-Key-Thema in die Nesseln gesetzt. Nur nichts, wo man vielleicht mal etwas anspruchsvoll sein müsste und nicht ein 10 Jahre altes Foto verwenden kann;-) Und die ärgsten Stänkerer sind ja nicht mal im Club.

Was mich schon seit längerem (gerade in einigen Challenge-Gruppen) nervt:
da wird ein Thema vorgegeben (hier nun etwas direkt Gegenständliches), und auf Teufel komm raus wird unter den Alt- Fotos irgendwas ausgegraben, wo zufällig der thematisierte Gegenstand drauf ist. Ich vermisse zunehmend den Denkansatz, daß wir eine FOTO-Community sind, wo es doch eigentlich darum gehen sollte, aus jeglichem Gegenstand etwas fotografisch Interessantes, Neues herauszukitzeln. - So, wie zuletzt mit Begeisterung gesehen: die Beiträge zum SSC Flaschen-Thema.

Bei CWP und SPC ist leider die Teilnehmerzusammensetzung immer noch Pano-lastig und da sind vor allem die, die sich sonst nicht auf Iper engagieren, total unflexibel. Ich war schon kurz davor, aus diesen Gruppen auszutreten...

Interesting discussion... I have left two "challenge groups" because of disagreements. Gladly I have at least learned to be more tolerating on groups that I personally administrate. But there are always disagreements, unfortunately...

Disagreements are normal and no big problem if they don't get personal or vitriolic.
The two mentioned groups are relics from Panoramio and a few former Panoramigos only joined Ipernity to take part in those groups. Those few have also never shown interest for anything else on Ipernity, have no interest in developing as photographers and just repost old photos;-)
When new interesting photographers join the groups and shift the balance their good old Panoramio world starts to disintegrate...
