So, die Verkündung ist erfolgt:
Der Flughafen BER soll im Oktober 2020 eröffnen (ursprünglich geplant: 2011).
Nach Fertigstellung des Baus stünden Prüfungen und Abnahmen an. Die Chance, dass die auf Anhieb klappen, läge bei höchstens 50 Prozent.
Aktuell droht eine neue Finanzierungslücke von bis zu einer Milliarde Euro ( Quelle: mobil.berliner-zeitung.de/29301216 ©2017). - Obwohl die ursprünglich vorgesehenen Baukosten (2,5 Mrd. €) bereits jetzt schon mit 6.5 Mrd. € weit überschritten sind.

Ich hab gedacht ich hör nicht richtig. In der Zeit kann man den ganz neu bauen, Profis jedenfalls. Immer hin wär's ja noch vor Stuttgart 24 :-/

... sie hatten jetzt sogar überlegt, ALLES was bisher an Technik verbaut wurde, wieder rauszureißen, also das gesamte Innnenleben der riesigen Hallen vollständig zu entkernen (!)
... und all das in 15 Jahren Zusammengebastelte nochmal von Grund auf neu zu bauen.
Warum sie trotzdem weiter rumschustern, hat keiner erklärt.

Irgendwann wird die IMA das Gelände zu einem symbolischen Preis von 1€ kaufen, in ein Lost Places Event Center umbauen und ihren Firmensitz hier her verlegen :-))

... und dann schließen wir einen Vertrag mit go2know - und bauen alle Lost Places von Berlin/Brandenburg in die Haupthalle - spart längere Anfahrtswege .... und lockt Touris aus der City raus.

Und rundherum eröffnen wir Hostels und Hotels in allen Preislagen plus Bars, Biergärten usw.- und ein Outletcenter würde sich auch gut machen;-)
