I say it becomes more challenging trying to get the automatic camera to focus somewhere else than on the drops on the foreground ;-) On my Lumix I first had to change the focus mode on to infinite, and then shoot close enough to avoid getting camera focus on foreground.

I'm surprised ...
Panasonic TZ-models have a special mode "through glass"
.... so I was awaiting, it's easy to get a clear background with your camera.

Here I had no time for changing the mode/focus.
I was not awaiting to take a photograph in this situation. I shot with "P" (program automatic)
- just the mode I picked the day before.

I'll have to look for the 'through glass' mode, for me focussing on the glass is one of the great annoyances of compact auto focus, it seems to help if you put your hand over the 'focus assist' light
