This is the statue to the Blessed Virgin, in the courtyard of St. Mary's Church, in Marshall, Illinois. It was quite rainy and storming all that day, so the bricks in the background were heavily water streaked.

In a three-pack of spices I got recently along with a sugar-free sugar substitute (really!?) and a sugar-free salt, was this packet of pepper that was also sugar free. That's the very first time of ever knowing that pepper had sugar in it. Did everybody else know that pepper had sugar in it and why wasn't I told about this?
Well, it rained on yet another Dairy Day festival. I think it rains every year, doesn't it? But it takes more than a little rain to stop these people from having a good time! Taken on September 23rd, 2011.
After watching The Ten Commandments again and seeing them eat the flat breads throughout the movie, it put me in the mood for some. So, I made some pita bread today for gyros. The gyro I had for dinner was excellent, if I do say so myself.
I also spent the day making some dandelion wine as well. That will take a while before it's finished and then has to age for a year before opened.
