Here's how I scan my 127 negatives. I start with the whole negative strip and tape where the left arrow indicates. Where the right arrow is, I have to tape along the top of the negative strip. Here, though, I'm at the end of the strip and I can place the tape at the end. Two negatives at a time will show through the mask and when those two are scanned, I cut them off and put them away. This is the 120 mask that came with my Epson Perfection V500 scanner.

I saw that one for the Canon and I saw some for the Epson V500 as well. $17 I think. Might be a good investment if I shoot much more 127.

Before I got the adapter ... I had to scan mine as a photo and convert it. It just wouldn't see it as a negative in the 120 holder. I have the same problem with my 4x5 and 8x10 negatives.
