Red, Red, I Want Red - There's No Substitute For Red
This is for The Sunday Challenge group, who's theme this week was "Abstract," spotlighting the color "Red."
The initial image of the mushrooms is detailed elsewhere, but suffice to say I shot them on Monday while lighting them with a tiny maglight shone through a 1970 Chevrolet Nova tail light lens. I then took the image into Adobe Photo Deluxe 2.0 and made it into the cube you see in the middle of the image. After I had the cube finished, I needed somewhere to put it. For the sunset seascape with the clear sphere, I used Bryce 5 and created a suitable background in which to meld my cube. After I had both pieces ready, I blended them using Adobe Photoshop CS2.
