There's an offshoot species of Viceroy butterfly here in Southern Illinois, that mimics the Monarch butterfly. It differs from a regular Viceroy in that it has an almost lack of the post-medial black line along the back of the wing. Apparently, they have named it a "Limenitis archippus archippus."
