Navigation Light, HFF

The seaward end of a breakwater which juts out into Ayr Bay and on to the Firth of Clyde, The navigation light has been occupied by a pair of Cormorants who are enjoying the September Sun, If you are able to view large the lighthouse at Troon is just visible on the left hand horizon

Stormy Signs of Autumn

A wet country road in Ayrshire as autumn approaches. I like how stormy sunlight enhances colours and adds sharpness. Enlarge if you prefer And an alternative musical version that is in my opinion worth a look, www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVz_IJoyO6Y

On the Carrick Coast

Built for the Kennady Clan in the 1200s Dunure Castle ruins are still a feature on this prommetary along the Carrick Coast in South Ayrshire. Shot in 16.9 so a large view recommended

The Girvan all weather Shannon class Lifeboat " Elizabeth and Gertrude Allen" on her mooring, as the sky darkens and bad weather rolls in from the Firth of Clyde.

Rolling In.

Traffic on the A77 South Western 300 Coastal Route can steal a glance or two as the waves roll in from Firth of Clyde and into the sheltered moorings at the attractive coastal village of Ballantrae on the Carrick Coast in South Ayrshire, The conical hill on the right of the image is the 270m Knockdolian Hill and far left the A77 steep climb up to Bennane Head. I think this possibly looks better large.
