Power

Power
Power lines from the coast crossing the River Parrett and heading to the distant Polden Hills. The river crossing pylons have to be this tall to allow shipping to pass under.
The building left of center is an old WW2 balloon hanger.

Large may help.

Good POV for the power lines leading the eye through the picture and I like the cloud textures enhanced by the mono. Good all round shot Roger.

Very well seen and done ! *****
I often tried to do the same thing when my husband is driving the car on the motorway ... but it is too fast to get something as perfect as your photograph here ...
Good evening, dear Roger.

Hi Roger

I really like this composition!

It leads the eye well into the depths of the scene, and the grey colour works well too.

Best Wishes, and a good weekend

Thank you Peter, They sadly are a part of the modern landscape, so I try and use what is given,

How I wish they could all go underground Roger. You have made a great b&w image of them dominating the countryside.

And me Rosa sadly they are a part of modern life, still the new style design will be some improvement although it wont make them invisible, nice comment by the way thank yo.

I like it, Roger! Stark and surreal. And I've wondered why fences are so often considered photogenic, but powerlines--not so much.

Many thanks Steve, I tend to agree especially as they are a now a necessary part of the landscape and they can make great subject matter
