A lively collection of lines and shapes.Bright colours, too. Everyday land indeed; passed by everyone but seemingly only ever noticed by photographers. Lovely work, John.

Thanks, John. In The Pencil of Nature, Takbot talked about how photography helped you notice things you'd never noticed before, and we're still at it.

I completely agree with Old Owl, who is obviously wiser and better with words than me.

Viewing large throws up a couple of questions: What is a Crow-Bar restaurant, and what is a Gyro Combo?

Thanks, Keith. I don't know what a crowbar restaurant is. There seem to be about half-a-dozen crowbar restaurants ibn Canada and the States, but none of them explain their name.

A combo is a combination plate, A gyro (as you probably already know) is shaved or sliced meat on a pita with tzatziki and other items. In Southern Ontario it's pronounced hero, which is probably the most common pronunciation in English,

Thanks for letting me know what you could John. I've obviously heard of a combination plate, but I've never heard the term "gyro" used in this context before. As I've often said, everyday is a school day on Ipernity!

I actually googled crow bar restaurant..........with no luck, but I got a paragraph apparently added by Artificial Intelligence (AI), which helpfully told me that "A crow bar restaurant is a type of restaurant, typically a bar and eatery, that often has a name or branding that includes the words Crow Bar or Crowbar. :-)))

There's a reason they call it artificial, Keith.

A fabulous photo, I love the colours, the shadows, and the feeling of wanting so much to know more about the living history of this place.

Thanks, Saj. There were a couple of news stories about this place when it closed. I found them just by searching for "crowbar cafe closing toronto". They were interesting.
