It's certainly possible, Robert. Others have spotted a resemblance in other photosof mine. I'm unaware of any inspiration by Rothko, but I have discovered other unconscious inspirations I had been unaware of -- Ed Ruscha was definitely one.

Yes, this is good to see in Toronto, where the standard of masonry seems to be low. And it's a pleasant change from the brick veneer seen all over Toronto.
