They just want some freedom John! A beautiful image. I adore pansies. My grandmother's garden was full of flowers and a riot of colour but the happy looking little pansies were favourites of mine. They are so colourful and look like they have little faces!

I really like them, too, Carol. Happy is a good description. Toronto really likes colourful flowers, too, so there are some fine displays in summer. Even In rich neighbourhoods the gardens are very colourful. The few gardens in those neighbourhoods that are seem "tastefully" restrained appear actually to be intended to enhance the brilliance of the colours in the other gardens. Where I live now is neither as flowery nor as colourful.
