A somewhat disturbing re-post. A rusty, grimy tunnel that does have an end, but not one that lets us go outside to sunshine. I doubt if that's what's meant by it, just how I approach it.

Not sure I understand what I'm looking at here John..............but I suspect that's the point. Whoever it is, it's quite fascinating and it makes a splendid abstract.

If I had to guess, I'd go for coffee dregs in a ceramic mug!

Thanks, Keith And you got it in one -- it is a ceramic coffee mug. I mentioned to Bob that I had two different reactions, and maybe the conflict between them (i. e., a mystery) is what interested me.
