Again I prefer the bigger view. Type Z to see if you agree. Please.

Industrial espionage? And I've never seen a drive-thru donut shop before, either, come to think of it.

The volumes and dynamic planes of the shot make it add up to more than the sum of those parts, though.

Thank you very much, Bob. I hadn't thought about this as espionage, but I certainly leave the impression of it here. Mainly, though, I think I was just desperate for a shot.I'd already taken many that day without taking one I liked.

Ah yes, the classic side-view mirror shot. This one is particularly fetching, given the double-mirror image, the appetizing donut sign (haven't eaten one in decades, but like to look at pictures of them) and the many diagonals, lines, geometrical elements & assorted fun stuff, including John's hair.
A winner, for sure.

Thanks, Sarah. The photo also seems to me to make me look about a foot shorter than I am. I have plans for the hair.

The side mirror shot works well, while the shadows focus attention on the donut choices.

Very cleverly composed John...............and a lovely double-selfie! I wonder if the donuts in the picture are also closer than they appear?

This made me smile today..............that's not an easy feat to achieve! It also made me hungry...........which is way easier. I have no donuts, so I'm off to source a chocolate digestive or three!

Thanks, Keith. I'd take a chocolate digestive over a doughnut any day.

Well, they can't have been spying on the poster, aNNa. I remember seeing that design 45 years ago in Switzerland on posters advertising Mövenpick's steak tartare. Mövenpick had way more varieties of steak tartare, though.

That's a brilliant image, love the way all the circles echo the doughnuts . . .

Thanks, Stoker. I hadn't thought about the circles echoing the doughnuts, so thanks for that insight, too.
