Nice light and shadows John..............and I quite like that bench. That seems to be a very understated entrance for a Masonic Lodge - but maybe that's the idea.

Thanks, Keith. This lodge seems to have had a longstanding problem with finding a meeting place. In 1997 they started holding meetings at the old people's apartment building they'd built. They started out with a special lodge room but now seem to be sharing it as a community centre.

Knowing nothing about the Masons, I'll go out on the proverbial limb and suggest that the local chapter may be in the same boat as many organizations - decreasing membership and trouble finding volunteers to keep things running.

You shot is very formal - balancing rectangles, not to mention the bricks. The bench seat and arms do throw a shadow that enlivens the proceedings, but perhaps there should be a banana peel on the floor?

Yes, I think there may be an oversupply of lodges here, Bob. The banana peel idea is interesting. I should carry a banana around with me.

Or, you could just tape it to the wall, photograph it, and sell it for a million dollars ...

I wonder what happened to that banana peel, now that you mention it. That must be worth something.

Very simple and severe enlivened by the bench and its lovely shadow.

There are some nice oblongs here.

The influence of my long residence in Toronto, I think, TLC. I did try to emphasize the cord or the sign, which disruots all the rectangles.

The composition is weirdly neat, like you swept up and dusted before you snapped it!
