Arthur Meighen Building (Charles B. Dolphin, 1954), Toronto. It houses offices of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada. The vigil on the sidewalk, organized by Nishnawbe Aski Nation, started on July 20 -- three months old today.

One of the reasons I like Douglas Coupland's War of 1812 memorial at Fleet and Bathurst is that it makes the point that history degenerates into stereotypes.

Nope, nothing gets done south of you, either. The suicide rate goes up and up and up in the Native population. Government and the public are actively indifferent, if I may use that contradiction in terms. Maybe passive-aggressive is the right one. They are discarded citizens.
