The car and the bus look like David and Goliath sizing each other up!

That is an impressive bridge

This is only a part of it, too, Lutz. To the left of the picture is a series of arches that make for good photos.

Further research has suggested to me I misidentified the bridge. The railway line is a continuation of the line that crosses the Tyne on the King Edward VII, though, although I don;t know its name.

Nicely framed image John. Remarkably little traffic about!

Thanks, George. The centre of Newcastle is a good place to walk in, which may help explain the lack of traffic.

You are now, I guess, Keith. Enjoy your new name. I apologize -- obviously I was confused at the time, but confusion is not an excuse.

In my neighbourhood I'm also known as Dave and Peter. It's fun. You'll enjoy having multiple names.

Ha, ha................old age creeping up on you John ;-))

When I was in the Royal Navy, I was known by the nickname Ollie. By the time I left after 30 years, the only people who called me Keith were my wife and parents. It was really odd being called Keith again and it took me years to get used to it.

Funnily enough, people who come from Newcastle are usually given the nickname George or Geordie.
