Roussillon ist bekannt geworden durch seine Ockerfelsen, die mit ihren mehr als 24 Farbtönen von Gelb über Orange bis Rot leuchten. Ab dem 18. Jahrhundert wurde hier die feine Tonerde abgebaut um den Farbstoff in Farben zu verarbeiten. Heute führt ein Lehrpfad durch die stillgelegten Ockerbrüche, der auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen ist.
