Esther's favorite photos

Latefossen is two waterfalls that meet as they flow into Gronsdalslona. They can be seen along Highway 13 south of Odda, Norway, in the Odda Valley, known as the Valley of Waterfalls. We stopped for photos as we traveled from Trolltunga to Stavanger.

When recently in Northern Ireland we were twice at the Giant's Causeway on the north coast. The photo is from the main area of the causeway and shows some of the formations for which it is famous.

Bonne fin de semaine mes amis(ies). merci pour vos visites et vos commentaires♫ PHOTO d'archives L'Arbousier ou Arbousier commun (Arbutus unedo), parfois appelé Arbre à fraises, est une espèce de plante à fleurs de la famille des Ericaceae. Ce sont des arbustes ou de petits arbres qui poussent sur l'ensemble du pourtour méditerranéen occidental mais aussi dans le nord du pourtour oriental. Son fruit est appelé arbouse (et n'a pas de rapport avec la fraise). Cette espèce est considérée comme pyrophile. L'arbousier est un arbuste de 8 à 12 mètres de haut, 3 à 5 mètres sous les climats plus tempérés. L'écorce, gris brunâtre à la base, devient rougeâtre à la partie supérieure des branches. Ses feuilles à bordure dentée d'une dizaine de centimètres de long sont persistantes, ovales, alternes, vert foncé luisant au-dessus, vert pâle dessous, à pétioles court.

It has been processed using specific astrophotography enhancement techniques: • True Optical Scale: The relative sizes of the moon's craters and Jupiter are mathematically accurate for a high-magnification telescope setup. When viewed through a powerful lens, Jupiter genuinely appears at this scale relative to the lunar edge. • Utilized Composite Digital Exposure Stacking to overcome the differences in lighting intensity of the moon and Jupiter. • Also utilized AI Sharpening & Enhancement: The use of algorithms to sharpen the blurry atmospheric noise (called "seeing") to smooth out the lunar details and reconstruct the crisp, geometric gas bands on Jupiter based on existing planetary models.
