A handful of silver
Workshop of Gilberto Jara in Chordeleg, Ecuador. Mr. Jara has worked with silver for over 70 years. He starts with pieces of silver, then melts them down into rods. He pulls the rods through a machine that he created to stretch the silver into ropes no thicker than spaghetti which he crimps and makes into filigree jewelry.
