Old Man of Stoer

Old Man of Stoer
The Old Man of Stoer is a splendid sea stack comprised of sandstones of the Stoer Group (Late Precambrian). They are similar to the unconformably overlying Torridonian sandstones but predate them by around 200 million years.

The coastline of the Isle of Lewis is just visible on the horizon.
