I believe this is a view towards Four Peaks Wilderness in the Tonto National Forest, from the Four Peaks Rd. AZ-87 goes through this area, which is an amazing drive with wonderful vistas as it climbs from desert to mountains near Payson.

I had read a number of times about the Mogollon Rim and the spectacular scenery in the area. From what I could tell, the best views were from Rim Road which is a gravel road off of AZ-87 north of Strawberry, AZ. Various websites had suggested that the road was gravel and graded and generally easy to drive. My own experience was that it was relatively rough, though the views were indeed spectacular.

I've been through Winslow a couple of times in the past decade. Both times it has appeared as if there was some effort to restore the buildings in the center of the city, but it looked on this visit if more of them were abandoned. This church was the best example of preservation that I saw.
