London Docklands Dundee Wharf (#0049)

London Docklands Dundee Wharf (#0049)
Dundee Wharf: I had initially assumed that this was a former warehouse/office building converted into housing, but it is a new building (see the Wikipedia). I had also assumed that the deck structures were older loading cranes converted into decks in some way, but considering that the building dates back to 1997, I'm guessing that these were never cranes.

The immediate area appears to have some interesting history. The original voluntary emigrants to Australia left from this area, and the area is purported to have had a strong but pleasant odor due to being the storage area for the juniper berries used for making gin.

The whole construction would look much better without the pointy decorations. The building itself is quite nice-looking.
