Alamosa, CO Rio Grande Scenic Rwy (# 0079)
I was curious about the colors and the types of cars here, they seem quite uncommon for passenger trains that would have run in the US West in the mid 1900's. From what I could find, the cars here were once commuter cars on various railroads including the Long Island RR and the Illinois Central. The colors seem to be associated with Iowa Pacific, which is a rail holding company that may actually own the cars or have some relationship with the SLRG.
