Madrid, NM (# 0864)
I was curious about Madrid, NM because a friend had visited it many, many, years ago and had taken quite a few pictures of it when it was a dying mining town. I had heard that in recent years it had been ‘discovered’ by artists and others, but was hoping there were still some remaining sense of what it had been. The main evidence of its mining past is the mounds of tailings as you approach the town.
