Elephant Butte Dam, NM (# 0830)

As repeatedly happens, I’m amazed by the aesthetics of early 20th century infrastructure construction. At the time of its construction the area was so remote that there was no need for the electric capacity of the dam (other than for the dam itself), yet they built the dam with an elegant, light-lined, concourse across the top.
