Imperial county Plank Road (#0775)
Description of the construction of the monument itself. Since the Plank road went out of service in 1927, it deteriorated rapidly and much of it was buried in the sand. The section that forms the monument is close to the original path, but consists of segments that were dug up elsewhere and moved to the location.
