From afar this large, very white, structure, looks like some sort of temple, though it turns out to be a mill (see adjacent picture). The zigzag road on the right side of the picture going up the mountain goes to a mining area.

Nah... from the far side of the valley, with the sun shining on it, you can see spires but you don't see the mine. Being California where there are temples in odd place, I wondered if it really was a temple.
