What's going in the distance hills? I wanted to comment on it if it was mining, but didn't even take notice of it till processing the photo. It looks like a combination of erosion and slag heaps.

There's a trailer parked improbably far up the slope, which may be a prospect, but otherwise (looking at your full-size pic) it all looks natural. The different textures look to be reflecting how easily erodable the substrate is.

I don't think that's a trailer, I think it is something on a very thin line that's barely visible. I'm going back out there relatively soon, will look closer. I just noticed, also, that to the right in the picture on the hillside is the Yarrow Ravine Rattlesnake Habitat Area!
