I've been into Eagleville directly from the east, on the Hays Canyon road. It's a good graded road you might find interesting!

I did what's called the Barrel Springs (BLM) Backway about 10 years ago that explores western Nevada in that area. It was after a fairly wet winter and quite interesting to explore. Exploring that whole quadrant between Cedarville and Denio is on my 'to do' list (but there's a lot on that list).

I looked that backway up, and it turns out I've been on about 2/3rds of it. One of these days I'll have to fill in the leg between where Co. Rd. 34 takes off north of Vya up by Mosquito Lake and over to Ft. Bidwell!

That was one of the prettier sections of the route, and there's camping over at Fee Reservoir.
