PS Gay Pride Parade LAPD entry (5087)

I was marching and didn't have a chance to see what they were handing out, though I doubt it was packets of condoms and lube :)

This is their promo vehicle that they send to parades around Southern California to increase recruitment to the force, and they do have an active effort to recruit gays. That in itself sounds questionable since most gays in PS are retired, but our event is a big draw for younger gays from the Inland Empire, so being here to recruit make sense.

BUT, they really should be using a vehicle that sent a signal of being a responsible public body, not something that looks like a matchbox toy that would be ideal for recruiting late adolescent kids.
