CA 74 Idyllwild NF Hwy (0564)
CA-74, also known as the the Hemet-Idyllwild Highway, the Idyllwild National Forest highway, or the Pines to Palms Highway. I could not find the exact history of this road, but per Wikipedia the road was named the "Pines to Palms" in 1930 by Riverside County.

Long ago (40 years--gaack!) I took that road on the way to climbing at Tahquitz rock--
