Hot Springs, SD (0558)
Sticker protesting a proposal to restart uranium mining in the Black Hills near Edgemont (about 25 miles away). Uranium mining had previously been open pit, but the proposal for a new mine uses oxygenated water that acts as a magnet to the uranium and draws it out. Concerns are contamination of the aquifer.
