Nice shot. What I remember most about this entire area was the crusted mud and dirt that was everywhere. Even the curbs and sidewalks were encased in dried mud.

What I didn't capture here was the miles of this sort of construction and the contrast to the vast emptiness of North Dakota. It felt bizarre. The only metaphor I can think of is imagining flying into the Arctic and coming across something that looked like CA-99 in the middle of a vast nowhere.
