Caldecott Tunnel 3788a
East entrance to Caldecott Tunnel, an example of the detail put into public works construction in the 30's. Taken just a couple days earlier were pictures of the construction of the new Devils Slide tunnel, which has none of this attention to detail.

Caldecott tunnel is on route CA-24 that connects Oakland with Walnut Creek, Concord, and the San Ramon valley (I-680)
