LA River: Olympic Blvd Bridge1348a

I came across the Olympic Blvd bridge (over the LA river) during one of my mid-evening efforts to avoid the rush-hour backup on the I-5. The bridge is surrounded by industrial activities which, in the after-work hours of empty streets, can feel darkly threatening. Thus the extensiveness of the lighting, the attention that had originally been placed in designing the lighting, the fact that some of the lighting was broken, and the human-less surrounding environment, created a rather odd mixture of contradictory feelings of both hope and lost dreams.
