Hawthorne, Beach Boys Monument

I was exploring the area near Hawthorne Airport, which is quite close to LAX, when I came across a sign that said "Beach Boys Monument." The area looked like one of those modern areas of industrial buildings intermixed with small pockets of neighborhoods, and the idea of a memorial in the area seemed totally odd. So I had to go look.

The memorial is built into the side of the I-105 freeway. A small plaque nearby explained that the land for the house where the Wilson brothers grew up was under the 105 freeway.
