Impressive stripes, but I'm not sure they provide much camouflage in the greenery of Sydenham.

Lucky for me, otherwise I'd have missed it.
We saw thousands of these moths in the 'Valley of the Butterflies' on Rhodes. They were well camouflaged in the dappled light against the rocks and dry leaf-litter.
When they fly thay show brilliant orange underwings which lets predators know that they taste nasty.
