Friday 2 February 2018 (1207) – A collection of Ipswich Buses vehicles displaying different formats of livery application. 77 (KX59 GNY), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro200 dating from between September 2009 and February 2010 (new to Dawson Rentals?) following 54 (PF04 WML), an East Lancs bodied VDL DE02 new in June 2004. Across the road is 137 (SN53 AVP), a Transbus Dart new to Lothian (98) in October 2003, and 20 (Y436 NHK), an Alexander ALX400 bodied Dennis Trident new to Stagecoach East London (TAS436) in August 2001.

Friday 2 February 2018 (1104) – Ipswich Buses 79 (YX63 ZVW) seen turning from Princes Street towards Friars Street in Ipswich town centre. It is an Alexander Dennis Enviro200 new in November 2013. This was one of a pair of buses delivered together (YX63 ZVV and YX63 ZVW). It would seem that some form of error may have occurred with the fleet numbering because both have operated carrying fleet numbers 79 and 80! They somewhat unnaturally now run as 79 (YX63 ZVW) and 80 (YX63 ZVV).

An ADL (Alexander Dennis) Enviro200 new in November 2013. The iconic black glass building, which features a roof garden, of the Willis Insurance Group forms a backcloth.

The side panel says it would take me to the Waterfront so I got on. However, studying the timetable before the bus departed I discovered that it wasn’t going there at all – so I quickly got off!

Friday 2 February 2018 (1146) – Ipswich Buses 85 (PJ53 OLE) seen at Tower Ramparts bus station, Ipswich. It is an East Lancs Myllenium bodied Transbus Dart new in November 2003. Behind is 155 (BF65 HVV), a Mercedes-Benz Citaro new in September 2015.

Across the street is 41 (M41 EPV) and up ahead 57 (PN52 XBJ) – all three have East Lancs bodywork. (The clock at The Cricketers hasn’t been advanced by one hour for BST!)
