Sunday 18 October 1992 (1150) - Ipswich Buses 221 (G221 VDX) was seen at King Street, Mildenhall when working the 1000 Ipswich to Ely service 156, one of the ‘Suffolk Sundaybus’ services sponsored for a number of years Suffolk County Council. The services criss-crossed the county and connected with each other serving main towns and tourist attractions/stately homes etc. An Optare MetroRider new in November 1989.

Easter Sunday 3 April 1994 (1310) – Ipswich Buses 229 (K100 LCT) passing through Barton Mills when working the 1236 Ely to Ipswich ‘Suffolk Sundaybus’ service 156. This MCW Metrorider was previously operated by Lancaster City Transport, hence the letters LCT in the registration number. Ipswich Buses names all its buses. This one pays homage to its origins and is named ‘Lancastrian’.

Sunday 21 May 1995 - Ipswich Buses 229 (K100 LCT) passing through Barton Mills when working the 1236 Ely to Ipswich ‘Suffolk Sundaybus’ service 156. This MCW Metrorider was previously operated by Lancaster City Transport, hence the letters LCT in the registration number. Ipswich Buses names all its buses. This one pays homage to its origins and is named ‘Lancastrian’. The building on the right was once the vicarage to the nearby St. Mary’s Church. The frontage had to be retained when the original property was demolished and it now stands in front of a modern day residential property.

Tuesday 4 September 2007 (approx 1015) – Ipswich Buses 232 (X232 MBJ) Optare Solo (new Feb 2001) seen at The Old Cattle Market in Ipswich. Following behind are 216 (M216 EDX) Optare MetroRider and 57 (PN52 XBJ) East Lancs Lowlander bodied DAF in ‘Park and Ride’ livery.

Tuesday 4 Sept 2007 (approx 1000) – Ipswich Buses 236 (X236 MBJ), an Optare Solo new in February 2001, seen in Friars Street bound for Ransomes Europark, a business development built on the site where Ransomes, Sims and Jeffries, amongst other things, built many Ipswich trolleybuses.

Friday 2 February 2018 (1126) – Ipswich Buses 241 (YN04 LWK), an Optare Solo M920 new in May 2004, seen at the Old Cattle Market.

Friday 2 February 2018 (1211) – Ipswich Buses Optare Solo M920 243 (YN04 LWJ) was new in May 2004. It was seen parked in Crown Street lay-by from the upper deck of Ipswich Buses 12 (LG02 FDC).

Tuesday 4 September 2007 (approx 1030) – Ipswich Buses 244 (YN53 ELW), Optare Solo (new Sep 2004), on service 1 at the Old Cattle Market.

The information panel (on the adjacent stand CC) features electronic departure information plus a printed timetable for service 6.

Friday 22 May 2015 (1021) – Ipswich Buses 245 (YN05 XNY), an Optare Solo new in August 2005, seen working the free shuttle service 38. From Tower Ramparts bus station the service travels via Portman Road, Constantine Road, Russell Road and Princes Street back into the town centre. In addition to serving the residential area in this part of town it fulfils the role of providing transport between the town centre and the Constantine Road garage for Ipswich Buses staff and for Suffolk County Council staff and visitors to/from Endeavour House, Russell Road.

From Tower Ramparts bus station the service travels via Portman Road, Constantine Road, Russell Road and Princes Street back into the town centre. In addition to serving the residential area in this part of town it fulfils the role of providing transport between the town centre and the Constantine Road garage for Ipswich Buses staff and for Suffolk County Council staff and visitors to/from Endeavour House, Russell Road. The Ipswich Town Football Club stadium building can be seen through the front and side windows.

Nearest the camera is 41 (YR61 RVF), a Scania OmniCity N230UD new to First Centrewest in October 2011 (First fleet number SN36065). Beyond is 108 (YX66 WCM), an Alexander Dennis Enviro200 new in September 2016. In the background is another Enviro200 and an Optare Solo.
