Friday 27 February 2026 (1154) – Parker Street, Cambridge. A2B Bus and Coach AB25 AZB, an Alexander Dennis Enviro400D new in May 2025 which carries the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) Tiger livery. It was arriving as the 1100 service T5 from Soham. Central Connect 348 (SK73 COJ), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro200D new in December 2023, seen prior to entering Drummer Street Bus Station to work the 1155 service 100 to Waterbeach and the Cambridge Research Park at Landbeach. Up ahead is a East Stagecoach MCV bodied Volvo BZL electric double decker new in April 2023.

Friday 27 February 2026 (1202) – A view from the top deck of Stagecoach East 86009 (BV23 NRU), an MCV bodied Volvo BZL electric new in April 2023, working the 1200 service PR4 to the Babraham Road Park & Ride site. On the left is 86004 (BV23 NRJ) a similar bus working service PR2. Stagecoach East 10878 (YX67 VDP), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400D new in October 2017, now wearing the latest Stagecoach Group corporate livery, was entering Drummer Street Bus Station as it arrived on the 1035 service 905 from Bedford. In the bus station itself is one of the twelve 98 seat Alexander Dennis Enviro400XLB bodied Volvo B8L tri-axle double deckers delivered to a Stagecoach East in December 2019. Based at Fenstanton these buses operate on the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway service B from Cambridge to Huntingdon/Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

Friday 27 February 2026 (1158) - Dews Coaches, Somersham V99 DEW, a rather charming short length Mercedes-Benz Citaro O 295K new in August 2017 as a demonstrator registered BN17 JVC. It was arriving at Drummer Street Bus Station, Cambridge as the 1120 service 8 from Bar Hill via Dry Drayton, Madingley and Coton. (Stagecoach East 19582 (AE10 BWP) was following with 86004 (BV23 NRJ) alongside).

Nearest the camera is 215 (BV19 XPU) working the 0930 service 491 from Great Yarmouth to London (Victoria Coach Station) (due 1350). The only intermediate points served on this service are Norwich (1005-1015) and Cambridge (1140-1150). It is a Caetano Levante bodied Scania K360 new in June 2019. Parked in front is 301 (BV22 VSX) working the 0855 service 728 from Heathrow Airport (Terminal 5) to Norwich/UEA (University of East Anglia) calling at Heathrow (Central) (0905-0915), Stansted Airport (1035-1045), Trumpington (1120), Cambridge (Parkside) (1135-1145), Newmarket (1215), Mildenhall (1235), Thetford (1255), Norwich (Bus Station) (1340-1345) and UEA (1400) . It is a Caetano Levante III bodied Scania K410 new in August 2022.

Friday 27 February 2026 (1149) – Ambassador Travel 215 (BV19 XPU) seen at Parkside, Cambridge when working the 0930 National Express service 491 from Great Yarmouth to London (Victoria Coach Station) (due 1350). The only intermediate points served on this service are Norwich (1005-1015) and Cambridge (1140-1150). It is a Caetano Levante bodied Scania K360 new in June 2019. In the background is Whippet Coaches WC33 (OU22 ZWW), a Neoplan Tourliner new in June 2022, awaiting departure as the 1205 service X91 ‘Blue Arrow’ service to Peterborough. (This coach carried the Flixbus livery when new at a time when Whippet operated a number of services on Flixbus contracts).

Friday 27 February 2026 (1153) – Ambassador Travel 215 (BV19 XPU) seen in Parker Street, Cambridge just after departing from the Coach Stops in Parkside. It was working the 0930 National Express service 491 from Great Yarmouth to London (Victoria Coach Station) (due 1350). The only intermediate points served on this service are Norwich (1005-1015) and Cambridge (1140-1150). It is a Caetano Levante bodied Scania K360 new in June 2019. For some years now Parkside has been used for coach departures after being moved from kerbside stops in the area where the two buses in the background are. Drummer Street Bus Station itself is beyond those.

Friday 27 February 2026 (1203) – Emmanuel Street, Cambridge seen from the top deck of Stagecoach East 86009 (BV23 NRU) working the 1200 service PR4 to the Babraham Road Park & Ride site. The bus is an MCV bodied Volvo BZL electric new in April 2023 from the same batch of buses as the two up ahead. (86006 (BV23 NRL) on service 2 and 86004 (BV23 NRJ) on service Park and Ride service PR2). On the left is Whippet Coaches WG107 (BT66 MVH), a Wright Eclipse bodied Volvo B8RLE new in December 2016, working the 1202 service X2 to Huntingdon via Cambourne. Visible between the two double deckers is National Express Limited 362 (BV23 ZVH) which had suffered a puncture on the rear offside tag axle tyre, a tyre fitter was working on the problem. It had set out from Parkside at 1042 working the 1040 service 786 to Luton Airport. Rear end advertising for London Luton Airport (LLA).

Friday 27 February 2026 (1038) – A quick visit to Cambridge today to photograph two specific subjects (although not this bus). I travelled on three different Stagecoach East vehicles, all MCV bodied Volvo BZL electric double deckers from the same batch new in April 2023. Having parked at the Babraham Road Park and Ride the three rides I took (but only on two different buses) were: *** Ride 1: Seen after I alighted at Addenbrooke's Hospital bus station is 86009 (BV23 NRU) (Journey: 1029 service PR4 from Babraham Road Park & Ride site to Addenbrooke’s Hospital Bus Station) (Project was to photograph Stagecoach East 10802 (SN66 WAA) which wears the Cambus heritage livery. It came through at 1110). Ride 2: 86008 (BV23 NRO) (Journey: Boarded at Addenbrooke’s Hospital Bus Station (1110) to Parker Street/Drummer Street on the 1105 service PR4 departure from Babraham Road Park & Ride). (Project was to photograph the new Whippet Coaches Cambridge to Peterborough service X1). Ride 3: 86009 (BV23 NRU) again! (Journey: 1200 service PR4 from Parker Street/Drummer Street to the Babraham Road Park & Ride site).
