Guide Friday ARC 639T in Edinburgh – 2 Aug 1997 (362-21)
Saturday 2 August 1997 - Guide Friday became a countrywide sightseeing operation following its success with open top bus tours in Stratford-upon-Avon. The company employed secondhand buses most of which had been converted to open top.

The operation in Edinburgh also included a service between the City Centre and the Airport with closed top buses which had a similar pedigree to the open top buses namely former Nottingham City Transport vehicles.

ARC 639T, a Northern Counties bodied Daimler Fleetline new to NCT as their 639 in November 1978, was seen on Waverley Bridge when heading for the Airport.

Dominating the skyline is the Bank of Scotland building.
