Mulleys Motorways CN56 FDU in Bury St. Edmunds - 19 Jun 2024 (P1180572)

Wednesday 19 June 2024 (0858) - Mulleys Motorways CN56 FDU, an Optare Solo 920SL (9.2 metre long slimline model) was new to Bebb Travel of Llantwit Fadre, South Wales in October 2006, seen on Station Hill, Bury St. Edmunds.

I had travelled on this bus earlier as it worked the 0740 service 355 from Mildenhall to Bury St. Edmunds (0810). It was heading to the bus station after working a school contract and would then go on to work the 0915 Town Service M88 to Westley Estate.

I was now on board Simonds of Botesdale Limited SN56 AGV, a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL which had been new to Lothian Buses (813) in December 2006, which was working the 0850 service 304 from Bury St. Edmunds to Diss. It had been operated by Xelabus (as G14 XEL) then Weardale Travel, Stanhope before joining the Simonds fleet.

I travelled on four buses today during a morning outing which were:
Bus 1: Mulleys CH56 FDU – Mildenhall to Bury St. Edmunds
Bus 2: Simonds SN56 AGV – Bury St. Edmunds to Stanton via Ixworth
Bus 3: Simonds BT13 YWF – Stanton to Bury St. Edmunds via Walsham-le-Willows
Bus 4: Mulleys LW51 ZHJ – Bury St. Edmunds to Mildenhall
